How this site handles your information: what stays in your browser, what the hosting and analytics providers see, and what happens if you write to us.
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The measurements you type in — height, wrist-to-floor, anything else — are never sent to us, stored by us or shared by us. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data to serve and protect the pages, and it uses Google Analytics, delivered through Cloudflare Zaraz, to count visits and show which calculators get used. No advertising is currently served on this site. If you email us or send an error report, we see what you write and use it to reply or to fix the page — nothing else.
This policy is effective from 30 October 2026. The site is published by Ian Welkins, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach the controller at ianwelkins@gmail.com.
Every calculation on this site happens on your own device, in the page, using JavaScript. There is no account to create, no form that submits your measurements to a server, and no database of fitting results. Close the tab and the numbers are gone; nothing about your height, your wrist-to-floor or the lengths recommended to you is recorded anywhere by us.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any hosting provider, Cloudflare processes technical request data — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to deliver the site, keep it fast and protect it from abuse. That processing happens under Cloudflare's own privacy policy. We do not receive a list of visitors' IP addresses from the host and we do not build profiles of individual visitors.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand the site in aggregate: how many people visit, which calculators they use, and roughly where in the world visits come from. Analytics is delivered through Cloudflare Zaraz, Cloudflare's tag-management tool, rather than by a Google script embedded directly in the pages.
Google Analytics assigns pseudonymous identifiers — randomly generated IDs stored in cookies — so that repeat visits can be recognised as coming from the same browser without a name or account attached. We look at the aggregated reports those identifiers make possible (popular pages, approximate regions, device types); we do not use analytics to identify individual people, and the measurements you enter into a calculator are never part of what analytics receives.
The site itself sets no cookies of its own. The cookies present on the site are the analytics cookies described above, set through Zaraz so Google Analytics can distinguish a first visit from a return visit. You can block or delete them in your browser settings at any time; every calculator on the site works exactly the same with cookies blocked, because the calculations never depended on them.
When advertising is enabled on this site, Google AdSense may serve ads and set advertising cookies to personalise them, as described in Google's own policies. No advertising is currently served on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and the wording above will change from conditional to present tense at the same time the ads are switched on — the policy is written to describe the site as it actually is, not as it might be.
If you send an error report or an email, we receive the information you put in it — your email address and whatever you chose to write. We use it to check the number you flagged, fix the page if you are right, and reply to you. It is not added to any mailing list, sold, or shared with advertisers, and there is no mailing list to be added to.
Questions about this policy go to the same address as everything else: ianwelkins@gmail.com. If any part of this page is unclear, ask — a privacy policy nobody can follow is not doing its job.
Because the calculators run in your browser, we hold almost nothing about you: no accounts, no stored measurements. For the little that does exist — analytics data held by Google, and any email you send us — you can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use, by emailing the address above. Analytics cookies can be blocked or deleted in your browser settings at any time, and every calculator keeps working without them.
If the way the site handles information changes — analytics switched on or off, advertising enabled, a new provider — this page is updated to describe the new reality before or at the moment the change goes live, and the 'last verified' date shown across the site moves with it. Older wording is not left standing to describe a site that no longer exists.
